Melanotan 2 (MT-II) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It activates melanocortin receptors (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R), triggering increased melanin production in skin cells.
